Steve and I took Hannah for walk on the beach. She actually walked us, but that's besides the point. This is Port Susan, between Camano Island and the mainland.

So, it's been about 3 weeks since Steve and I bought our home and it's super awesome! Mostly everything is unpacked. We are living farther from work, but it's well worth it. It's a 3-bedroom, 2 bath with a fully fenced in yard and beautiful landscaping. The best part is that it is so quiet out here!
Steve bought me a great birthday gift! A gorgeous German Short Haired Pointer, 2 y/o, named Hannah. She is still a bit of a pup, full of vigor, but she is very smart. She starts her Good Manners training next week!

Yup, it was about that time that I headed back to Michigan for some good old fashioned freezing cold, snow, and endless rounds of Euchre. I took Steve along with me to meet the family and, since I'm such a kind person, I wanted him to be freezing cold with me. :) Here's some pics of the week. It was nice to just hang out and relax and even cooler that both my brothers were there since Andy, Sara and Jonas decided to drive up to Michigan from Tucson! I got to see Mikey's new apartment, my parents new home and visit with a few friends and family. It was great to visit, but I'm glad to be back in warmer climate!

Sailing to Sucia Island

Yet another awesome summer adventure to the high seas; sailing to Sucia Island (pronounced "susha", not the Spanish "sucia" Andy!) part of hte San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound. My friend Liz's parents own a 32 ft sailboat and were gracious enough to let myself, Steve, and my other co-worker Rick and his wife Sarah join them on an overnight trip. It was more than I imagined it would be! We all went for a small hike on the island and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset while eating salmon and steak for dinner! This was a trip I'll never forget!
